Hi, My Name is Jessica....

and I have a problem with spending. My, my how the sexy tracker has opened my eyes...
It's only been a little over a week and I've spend about $750. Only about $250 was budgeted for.
Not to mention I just aquired another $2000 (iMac) debt.

I don't even know what to say to that.
Anyone hiring web designers?

Hi Britney,
That's a cool tracking site. It's pretty bold of you to put your whole spending tracker up there for the world to see. Obviously, the thing that jumps out at me is all the "eating out." That's a major expense. Can you bring a lunch to work?

I have been trying to bring lunches to work although I'm sure it's obvious I haven't been putting too much effort into it.

I am trying to be honest and not change my spending habits too much during the first step of the plan, which the instructions say, but that will definitely change during step two.

I'm hoping to eliminate most of the eating out and parking expenses.

I'm so glad you are doing this. It is a great way to see where you can cut back. The hard part comes in actually doing it. I think the key is cutting back without denying yourself. If you deny yourself, you won't stick with it because you're miserable. You need to find a happy balance.

I've posted a few more parts to the DPL plan on my site. Keep up the good work. :-)

I desperately have to work on my spending...tracking really helps a lot.

ryn: I sure was grumpy when I wrote that last post! It just gets frustrating to see the new carnivals - I'm hoping to find more people that I like to read up on, and they have all kinds of advice that I could find on or through a Suze Orman book. I guess it's what people like - I just get annoyed. ;)

I don't remember if I ever mentioned it - but I love the title of your blog. Awesome. :)
